I am working on a rug right now that is made with felted sweaters.
I have sooooo many wool sweaters that I picked up in thrift shops over the last few years. I have really been feeling the burden of having too much stuff lately but I can so relate to the poor souls on the Hoarding TV shows. I just can't seem to part with any of my precious stuff! So what I have decided to do with some of the sweaters is to cut them into one inch wide chunky "yarn" and crochet them into a rug. The rug is working up really fast due to the size of the material and the large hook. I don't know what I am going to do with it when it is done. My dogs really like it and want to lay down on it every time I put it on the floor. Maybe I should market these things as dog beds? I could just picture a big old Lab curled up on one!
